Mission: The Prayer Ministry will: support all members of New Shiloh with their prayers and God’s word; aid the Ministerial Staff in targeting concerns of our members and coming together for planning and prayer; help strengthen the spiritual bond between members; work to create an environment the Holy Spirit inhabits continually; endeavor to help members live and experience the Power of Prayer; have a different focus each year, as the Church’s needs change; and will focus on helping members live in peace and be an instrument of peace to others.

Purpose: I Timothy 2: v1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men. v2) For kings and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. v3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; a charge given to Christians to pray for all men in general and particularly for all in authority. The disciples of Christ must be praying people. Therefore, we must first pray for ourselves.

Vision: Luke 11:1 – And it came to pass that as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” It is Christ’s disciples requesting instruction in prayer. Teaching is very important for newly-saved people or new converts here at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Effective in prayer, for the outreach ministry, we need strong prayer warriors for this warfare.

Meeting Date & Time: Power of Prayer Meeting is at 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday.
